Welcome to Fern Creek Lodge
We are pleased that you have chosen to spend time with us during your visit to the Eastern High Sierra.  Here are a few simple guidelines to help you enjoy your stay and help us keep lodging costs down:

  • Please do not clean fish in your cabin.  There is a fish cleaning station on the property which you are welcome to use.  Please clean the area after your use and make sure to put your trash in the can.  If you happen to clean fish after the store is closed at night please put your trash in the dumpster.  This will keep the bears and raccoons out of the trash can.

  • Smoking
Smoking is permitted outside only (not in any guest rooms or inside the buildings).  A $250.00 cleaning fee will be charged for violation of this policy. This applies to all types of smoking and smoke-producing substances, including medical marijuana, cigars, and incense and vapor products. Smoking is permitted only outside away from dry areas or due to very high fire danger at all times of year.

  • Our cabins are not equipped with air conditioning.  The night time temps are usually low enough to ensure that you can be kept cool in the cabin.

  • Please be comfortable in your cabin when occupied, but when you are out, please turn heat down (60 degrees) and lights off.   We will inspect cabins daily for energy usage.  No exceptions.

  • We welcome pets but do ask that you inform us of your “extra guest”.  We further ask that the unlandscaped area on the hill be used for pet relief and not the area by the BBQ's.  Pets are NEVER to be left unattended in the cabin at any time.   Please do not allow your pet to sleep on the beds or sofas.  Guests who do not inform us of their pet or do not follow the pet rules may be asked to leave without a refund.

  • We do not have daily maid service.  Please bring towels to the store if you would like them replaced
    .
  • The dumpster will be unlocked from 6am to 9 pm. Please dump your trash daily.

  • Please feel free to use the BBQ area.  If you cook outside, remember not to leave any trash in the outside bins.  Please take your trash back to the dumpster.   While you have enjoyed your meal, the bears will also enjoy the leftovers if you leave the trash out.

  • Check out is 10:00 AM.  Upon check out, you are required to leave your kitchen clean (dishes, coffee pot, etc.).  In addition, your cabin must be reasonably clean as well.  If this is not done, you are subject to an additional $100.00 cleaning fee.

  • Please report any breakage or maintenance issues in your cabin immediately.  If we don’t know it’s broken, we can’t fix it.  We reserve the right to bill departing guests for any and all missing or broken items not reported to us.  (We are understanding and do realize that things happen.  It is much easier to deal with issues as they occur than after the fact.)

  • We do have bears in the Eastern High Sierra.  Please do not leave anything with a smell in your vehicle.  This includes food, toiletries, air fresheners, etc.  Fern Creek is not responsible for your vehicle or property.  Please do not feed the bears and raccoons.

We do our best to keep the property energy efficient and bear free.  Your cooperation is appreciated.  If you should notice problem areas around the property, please call them to our attention.  We will do our best to attend to them.  Please see us in the store with any questions, concerns, or maintenance issues.
Thank you and please enjoy your stay!
